Easter in L.A.

Sunday, April 4th, 2010

This post is a co-production with RobandEmma.com – such a big event required multiple reporters on the scene! So check over there for extended coverage of this momentous occasion. Here Evie shows off her new Easter dress and sparkly shoes (a present from Sue-Sue during Evie’s first trip to Bloomies!):p1020234.jpgGuess who just showed up… the Easter Bunny! I was convinced Evie was going to melt down and be terrified, but I was relieved to be completely wrong…p1020264.jpgEvie squealed and clapped and clenched her fists in excitement and waved, she barely knew what to do with herself.p1020266.jpgAnd then over to the petting zoo that Bel Air Bay Club had set up for the day. Evie started off cautious…p1020285.jpgBut was very soon bravely petting the ducks…p1020348.jpgAnd goats…p1020350.jpgBack to the ducks again…p1020358.jpgAnd over the bunny…p1020361.jpgAnd back to the goats and chickens… in case you couldn’t tell, we were here for a while!p1020364.jpgThen it was time for the Easter egg hunt! Fortunately they broke the kids up into age groups, so Evie stood a fighting chance…p1020320.jpgShe examines her treasure…p1020327.jpgAnd then decides that what she really wants to do is give her eggs to the Easter Bunny.p1020316.jpgHappy Easter everyone! Only three kids cried, which we thought was pretty good odds.santa-arrives.jpgWe made Meggy sit on Santa’s lap first, as we knew that she’d handle it like a champ:meg-santa.jpgEvie, on the other hand, was a little more cautious:evie-santa2.jpgAnd Chloe just went very red:chloe-santa.jpgBye Santa!bye-santa.jpgThanks for a great party, Han!han-meg.jpg
