Getting ready for the match… we left Elmo at home as we weren’t sure where his loyalties lie, but Lenny is clearly an England fan so he came along:Practicing her cheer… and already practicing her disappointed look, it would seem:Settling in at one of L.A.’s pubs for a full English.Evie told me that “everyone’s clapping for the statue”… meaning, the knight above the TV:Rob demonstrates the score before it all went pear-shaped…Rob claps for the U.S. goal but can’t quite bring himself to join in the chants of “USA! USA!” It just feels a little too red-state for him, I think…We can’t wait for Bex and Alex to join us for some cheering next week!!

… have a ball! Maureen (a.k.a. Nana, even though Evie insists on calling her “Nan-nan”!) has a lemon tree in her back garden, and more lemons than she knows what to do with… and not a ball in sight. So Evie decided to make do. Here Evie spies the tree and goes incognito in case anyone sees her swiping lemons…Eve lives up to her name…Victory! (She was so excited about the lemons that I didn’t have time to rub in the suntan cream, as you can see.)Southpaw strikes again…But wait, looks like she might be ambidextrous after all…

As an earlier post on this site demonstrated, Evie loves showing off her muscles by lifting big sticks. And Rob’s practice kali stick (check out this post to see Rob training with them) is a perfect prop for that. These photos remind me of the Olympic events the Waylors once invented using the plastic Wendy house poles as props…

Evie and her dad cuddle up for the Wimbledon final yesterday. Rob was rooting for Nadal, but Evie was behind the handsome man in the cardigan.

While the girls sunned themselves, shopped, and dressed Evie and Chloe in matching outfits (photos coming soon), Rob, James, Christian and Woodie hit the golf course together…

Becky and Hannah have been training hard here in Cape May (runs are so much nicer along the boardwalk!) and are counting down the days. Bex and James just got back from a week skiing in Switzerland — they decided not to share any photos from the compulsory-nudity jacuzzi at the hotel (and you thought compulsory fun was bad!) and instead just passed on a few pics of them looking snazzy on the slopes. Here’s the happy couple stopping for a cuddle halfway up…

And here’s Bex looking about a million times more comfortable on her skis than either Emma or Hannah ever have (and check out that fancy new ski jacket!)…
