Evie learns early that it’s not easy being an England supporter…
Saturday, June 12th, 2010Getting ready for the match… we left Elmo at home as we weren’t sure where his loyalties lie, but Lenny is clearly an England fan so he came along:
Practicing her cheer… and already practicing her disappointed look, it would seem:
Settling in at one of L.A.’s pubs for a full English.
Evie told me that “everyone’s clapping for the statue”… meaning, the knight above the TV:
Rob demonstrates the score before it all went pear-shaped…
Rob claps for the U.S. goal but can’t quite bring himself to join in the chants of “USA! USA!” It just feels a little too red-state for him, I think…
We can’t wait for Bex and Alex to join us for some cheering next week!!

Eve lives up to her name…
Victory! (She was so excited about the lemons that I didn’t have time to rub in the suntan cream, as you can see.)
Southpaw strikes again…
But wait, looks like she might be ambidextrous after all…
