Away from the snow in England to Rachael’s villa in southern Spain (Tks Rachael & John!!)The rough was a bit prickly which I seemed to visit most holes. A walk around the Marina in Islantilla.The golf might not have been any good, but trying hard to look the part!… not too many others on the local beach. .. and the overall winner of the senior Waylors trophy .. Doctor John .. receiving the trophy from Suzanne, last years winner.

Saturday December 19th - what a memorable day at Tim & Emily’s wedding ..  An elegant group in the Taxi on the way to Wellington Barracks. The new Mr & Mrs Badham lead the wedding party out of the Church followed by some very attractive bridesmaids… and check out the elegant MOB following on behind and the FOB looks very pleased with himself!!The guard of honour Emily & her beautiful bridesmaids and flower girlThe Woodies so its 5 of the Waylors now married … no pressure James Dr John starts the speeches in great style … and Tim captivates everyone in his own inimitable style then the dancing gets going …… and the wine kept flowing … aah how sweet! still plenty to talk about! and Emily & Tim strut their stuff …. …. at the end of a fabulous day!

Becky catching up with a download of some of her recent photos (and no apologies from her that Alexander tends to feature quite strongly!!).  On the way to a wedding in Sheffield they called in on my Mum. My Mum has obviously not lost her touch. Then off to Granary Court for an early Christmas with again no shortage of babyminders! The golfers set off early Sundayand the little ‘uns got stuck into the playdough. A contented little chapHappy families!Then Sunday night the Waylors took over the cooking.Oh and another one of Alex!and a cuddle from cousin Chloeand then back in Oxford the big adventure - first time swimming with Chloe and Megan - maybe the shorts are a little big but hey they are blue not pink!all ready to swim … not sure where Chloe was, but dont the Mums look great!

Off to Derbyshire this year at Granary Court, just outside Ashbourne - 9 cars loaded with food and drink.Lots of adult help with looking after the kiddies! Maybe an old fashioned technique from Nan-nan? Could this be a bit of wedding talk?? The newest Waylor!Eating seemed to be high on most peoples priority list … a bucketful of Muz’s Maccarone cheese went down well!.. and a girl always can find time to have her nails done! Then the ladies took off for a session in the hot tub what every well dressed girl wears for a hot tub session!Meanwhile the men took over kiddy duty … Christian and Megan James with Alexand Joe hangs out with the CaptainOf course the grab-bag game was popular … George and Tim seem interested in the box of old-fashioned sweets .Joe and Lucy well involved! seems George lost out to Bex! just time for some fireworks and the launch of Henry’s hot air balloonsbefore sitting down for “Christmas dinner”At the end of the weekend just half a dozen eggs and 3 jars of cranbery sauce unused, as well as a major contribution to the bottle recycling effort of Derbyshire. So a a toast to absent friends Emma Rob and Evie, but here’s to seeing them over in UK for Christmas proper and THE wedding of the year … GO EMILY & TIM!!

Although facebook was given exclusive first rights to the release of the official engagement photograph, Quince Orchard is proud to annouce the engagement of Emily and Tim.

Early rumours suggest a possible Christmas wedding at Sandhurst ….  in true twinnie fashion, mother of the bride Suzanne whooped excitedly on facebook yesterday at 4:27pm ”Wedding at Christmas, get out the glad rags and big hats.”

Then the speeches after the meal .. welcome to the youngest and newest Waylors (Evie and Tim) from the host!Tim “encouraged” to respond!…and of course our Bex just had to get on her feet!!Christian looking worried - maybe thinking about having to do the Haka later on with Henry! not that Henry seems at all worried!The next day was “Boxing Day” with Miles & Dawn, Harry & George, and Ruthie & Tony joining us .. (sadly Rachel and John were not well enough to attend). It was too wet and windy to use the tent so everyone into the lounge for the grab-bag game.Jo seems to have something else on his mind!Lucie looking after Chloe ..Tony’s retro light was popular!… meanwhile Evie just chilled out …and then slept in Nan-nan’s arms …Sunday morning the golfers teed off at Bushey for the annual Waylor trophy with Tim making his debut. Very exciting finish with Suzanne, John and James Martinelli all equal, but Dr John winning the trophy on countbackJames Martinelli was a very close secondJohn won longest drive (by a mile) but James Wood was easily nearest the pin (sad to say, the only one on the green!!).. the winner posing for the worlds press after the presentation!Thanks to Suzanne & John for another super weekend!!

… whilst the Bunts were at the two weddings, Dianne, Bex and James had a super time babysitting Chloe. Meanwhile, I travelled  up to Leeds for the 2nd Test England vs South Africa with Suzanne and John.  Headingley looked great from our seats on the West terrace. … but as you can see from James’s face, the cricket was not so great. (or was it the fact that his glass was empty!) … but at least the oldies found something to laugh about … or maybe it was the Tetleys bitter! England got hammered …. which is not very encouraging thinking about next summer’s Ashes Test series vs Oz. How am I going to face Anne and Dennis - not forgetting Rob of course!!  

Just catching up on some leftover pics from Cape May… here we are enjoying a few baby-free cocktails in Congress Hall’s Brown Room while Rob and Christian man the bbq and the girls back at the house…

There was only one day in Cape May when the weather didn’t cooperate, so we headed north to Atlantic City, where we’d heard there were a few outlet stores to be enjoyed. Let it be stated for the record that the boys outshopped the girls on this particular day. James, Woodie, and Christian all ended up in matching tee’s (Rob somehow missed the memo that he was supposed to pick up an American Eagle polo shirt)… Cape May’s newest boy band, perhaps?

But only one of them came home with brand new referee socks and a new football…

While the girls sunned themselves, shopped, and dressed Evie and Chloe in matching outfits (photos coming soon), Rob, James, Christian and Woodie hit the golf course together…
