Rob and I were dreading our first cross-country flight with Evie — 6 hours, and we both had middle seats, one behind the other, as the plane was full and we booked late. No bassinets on domestic flights, unfortunately. We were convinced it was going to be 6 hours of “This is the way the ladies ride…” But happily, we managed to convince one passenger to give up her aisle seat, and then we managed to convince Evie to conk out on a makeshift bed lying across the two of us. Here’s Evie during her 2-hour nap (snapped on Rob’s fancy new iPhone)…

(The passenger in the next seat over was reading a book on how to write screenplays and explained that he used to be a “manny.” Only on a flight to L.A.!)
On 08/08/08 the Bunts and Marginellis headed over to Hampton Court for Phil and Bernadette’s wedding. Despite an early panic that the boys had misunderstood the “black tie” dresscode, all worked out well and it was a fab day.
Evie can’t get enough of the swings! On this visit, we taught her how to hold on tight. (We would have taught her the shoe-throwing game, but she doesn’t wear shoes yet.)
This is the Chloe we all know and love. However yesterday afternoon Christian’s Aunties, Di and Carol came to visit along with his cousin Kimberley, an avid QO follower …. this was the first time Kim had met Chloe other than her daily fixes on QO - unfortunately Chloe the angel became Chloe the monster, and she screamed hysterically - I was mortified. Kimberley, this was taken less than an hour after you left, I am so sorry - please don’t let your visit put you off, and please come again soon!!!
You heard it on Big Country House first — Evie’s a baby sitter now! And yes, that’s an Obama babygro she’s wearing. Hey, at least it’s not Hillary.
