Chloe spent most of the days chilling in her own private pool.

Although her favourite way to spend a morning was relaxing in the hot tub - such a chore!

Family lunches were a hit, especially with Moo, who was a fan of anything that involved food!

Chloe had a few days out at the beach with Daddy, which turned out to include pizza and ice cream, it doesn’t get much better than that when you are two years old!

For once, dinners out were an absolute pleasure - we managed quite a few civilised family meals out without being “that family” that everyone looks at relieved that its not them!

Evie’s latest favorite activity is loading up her favorite little plastic animals (usually a zebra, a dog, and a cow) into Muz’s cast-off hand-bag (so last season!) and toting them around the house…Strike a pose, Evie Bean!You know what would really perfect the outfit, though? The fluffy brown boots. There! Much better…

Dinner out with the Ealing crowd to celebrate Johnny Poore’s 60th Birthday…… Dianne with Sylvia and Pauline  Mrs Poore! What a handsome crew! Thanks for the photos Bob!

The big trucks came by today to pick up everyone’s piles of leaves, so we snuck in some last-minute raking this morning. Or, rather, Rob snuck in some last-minute raking while Evie sat on her favorite rock:Rob tried to teach Evie how to rake…But pretty soon Evie was back to observing, this time from her favorite bench, with Iggle Piggle:Or jumping in the big piles…Sitting pretty is a full-time job, don’t you know? Evie decides it’s such a beautiful day that the winter Crocs can come off…Boho Bean strikes again! Running barefoot through the newly-raked garden…And here’s the view that Evie sat back and enjoyed (okay, and her mummy too) while Rob worked up an appetite for lunch. For the record, Evie, next year you get a pint-sized rake and will be expected to pull your weight.

A day at Farmer Gow’s was full of excitment for our Chloe. Not content to wait for the official “meet the animals” to start, Chloe grabbed some hay from the bail and fed it to any animal that was interested, she was not short of takers!

Then she was able to show her expertise at bottle feeding

And then even braver, hand feeding the lambs, goats and sheep (at this point I took a large step back, claiming to be keeping the animals away from Meggy - Meggy in fact loved being pounced on by sheep, I was, however, utterly terrifed!)

It all got too much for Moo who curled up in the pushchair for a quick snooze!

Chloe and Megan had their first bath with Alex, which was a hit all round.  Megan continues to adore her little cousin.

Becky catching up with a download of some of her recent photos (and no apologies from her that Alexander tends to feature quite strongly!!).  On the way to a wedding in Sheffield they called in on my Mum. My Mum has obviously not lost her touch. Then off to Granary Court for an early Christmas with again no shortage of babyminders! The golfers set off early Sundayand the little ‘uns got stuck into the playdough. A contented little chapHappy families!Then Sunday night the Waylors took over the cooking.Oh and another one of Alex!and a cuddle from cousin Chloeand then back in Oxford the big adventure - first time swimming with Chloe and Megan - maybe the shorts are a little big but hey they are blue not pink!all ready to swim … not sure where Chloe was, but dont the Mums look great!

Off to Derbyshire this year at Granary Court, just outside Ashbourne - 9 cars loaded with food and drink.Lots of adult help with looking after the kiddies! Maybe an old fashioned technique from Nan-nan? Could this be a bit of wedding talk?? The newest Waylor!Eating seemed to be high on most peoples priority list … a bucketful of Muz’s Maccarone cheese went down well!.. and a girl always can find time to have her nails done! Then the ladies took off for a session in the hot tub what every well dressed girl wears for a hot tub session!Meanwhile the men took over kiddy duty … Christian and Megan James with Alexand Joe hangs out with the CaptainOf course the grab-bag game was popular … George and Tim seem interested in the box of old-fashioned sweets .Joe and Lucy well involved! seems George lost out to Bex! just time for some fireworks and the launch of Henry’s hot air balloonsbefore sitting down for “Christmas dinner”At the end of the weekend just half a dozen eggs and 3 jars of cranbery sauce unused, as well as a major contribution to the bottle recycling effort of Derbyshire. So a a toast to absent friends Emma Rob and Evie, but here’s to seeing them over in UK for Christmas proper and THE wedding of the year … GO EMILY & TIM!!
